I think the biggest tool that I have used since starting this class so far is the face book fan page. I created one for my current position and have already started posting things for athletes. It has definitely made me feel more connected because I usually relay information through email. Most times I feel that I am just sending the emails out into the void because I never get a response. And students regularly tell me that they get so many emails that they usually do not read all of them. Having the FB page lets me get information out to my athletes more efficiently. I have great plans for the page for March when we can upload pictures about National Athletic Training Month. I think this has been a very valuable tool and I am glad that I learned how to create one for this class.

Hello Hilary, I really like your idea to develop your Facebook fan page to start communicating with athletes. I think this can be very effective because this will leave a platform for discussion between you and other student athletes that is not possible in emails. You can post any important training room information, as well as post educational material that the student athletes will find useful. Students having a discussion board for any questions regarding the training room would be a great recourse that would benefit both the student athletes and training room staff. Good luck getting this page going, its a great idea!
